Transition 101 by Nick Reed

Some little extras can ease your path through the transition area, and in the absence of a personal butler I would recommend:

A towel: Good to stand on when finally pulling your wetsuit off and avoids you getting gritty feet.

Talcum powder: A bit of this inside your bike and run shoes helps slip your feet in. If you put too much in your runners it also looks like you’re running so fast your feet are on fire. Smokin!

Water bottle: Yep, you’ll have another one carefully stashed on your bike but this is to take a swig from when you get back from the swim.
