  • Well done yesterday John. It was extremely well organised and an excellent course. Was very surprised how clear the liffey water was. Hope you do it again next year.

  • Congratulations on yet another super event. No other race in Ireland even comes close to what is a superbly organised event. Thanks again and I will be back once again next year.

    John McMenamin
  • Many thanks to you and your club mates for putting on a fantastic race yesterday. It's only my second time doing Dublin, but I will be coming back

  • Thank you for a fantastic event. My first triathlon and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • I just wanted to drop a line to say thanks and congrats on a great day yesterday. Unfortunately i could only do the swim as i had to head to work but from what i saw the event seemed very well organised and smoothly ran. I loved the idea of the club members helping catch the drafters as its a serious issue now and i think that is a possible way for club run events to tackle it. So congrats and hopefully next year i can manage to do the full race! All the best for 2014!

  • Just wanted to send a quick mail of thanks for yesterday. As you know it was my first sprint triathlon and the first time I have run in nearly 10 years this time last year I was getting a pint of blood taken every week for my Hemochromatosis and had no energy at all..To complete yesterday for me was one of the best things I’ve done in a long time. And my only run training for yesterday was a 100 yard jog, but I managed to jog more than half and I can walk today my ankles are still in one piece.I have to say I really enjoyed it I’ll be back for next year 100% to beat my times even the run one ! It was really well organised and please pass on thanks to all marshals they were all the nicest bunch of people I’ve met in a long time and us newbies were made feel very comfortable.

  • I did the Super Sprint Triathlon on Sunday, and I just wanted to say a very sincere "well done" - quite a formidable logistical task, getting all that together! A huge undertaking - you must be exhausted today.. It was my first ever event, and I was sick with nerves at the start, but all your stewards/marshalls and staff were a great help. I only came in 179th, but at least I finished it...

  • Having raced in the UK and the USA I would say it was the best goodie bag I have ever seen by a l--long long way! Well done.

  • Big thanks to John John Wallnutt and all the Piranha Club for a great day at the Dublin City Triathlon. One of the best events I've covered this year.

  • Thanks for a great day yesterday. Your club members all deserve a lot of credit for the voluntary work they put into what was a really well organised event. I would also like to thank the marshals who gave me a lot of help when my blood sugars were low during T1. Thanks also to Stephen Moody for going around the course with me. Thanks for all the support I was given by Piranha. I had a great experience. I hope you all get a well deserved break.

  • Just a quick note to say thanks to you and all the team for a wonderfully organized day today. Great crew, great course, and, by the looks of things, a great club - my next step is to join the Piranhas.

    Ralph Mills
  • Well done to you and your team on organising yesterdays event. I had a fantastic time from start to finish and thoroughly enjoyed the whole occasion. An EXCELLENT job done by all the route marshals in both their safety management and their encouragement to all participants throughout the course was very welcomed... Being my first event I wasn’t too sure on what to expect however it was much more that I imagined On a scale of 1 to 10 it gets a BIG 10+

  • Just wanted to thank you for organising yesterday and a huge thank you to your team, they were exceptional. I was 1141 the last man running and the last person to finish, needless to say a first timer, a loose head prop, and was part of the lets train 100 group. I just wanted to thank your team for waiting until my extremely late finish to close up shop, and everyone of them gave me huge encouragement as I cantered around the course, please pass on my thanks to them if possible I especially wanted to thank Judy who escorted me around the running track on her bike, with the absence of headphones it was brilliant to be able to chat with someone, in between breathes anyway. She is a credit to your sport and to Piranha as a club. DCT was my first attempt at a triathlon and after the DCT tri I feel totally inspired to get committed to training and try more sprint triathlons (to start!). The organisation was amazing on the day ... not to mention the goodie bag ... which I was told by other competitors not to expect anywhere else ... apparently I will be lucky to get a cap! Ha!

  • A very well organised event, your stewards were amazing. There was a wonderful girl in a kayak who was so kind with words of encouragement on my swim. I thought I had run out of time after my bike ride and was not sure about the run. One of your Male stewards told me to go for it, that I should definitely finish it. Another steward guy offered to run the first 4km with me. I was deeply touched by all the encouragement I received. A lot of work to do for my next one but at least I have a starting point! Was dreading swimming in the Liffey but was not so bad at all. It is not an easy thing to do to organise such an event but you all deserve a clap on the back I shall be living in my DCT jersey for the next while, very proud to wear it.

  • Thank you for your email! We completed the Tri on Sunday despite my sister having an injury and a brewing flu. We did our best and enjoyed the challenge and completed all three events. We are about to register for our next event. We felt the event was really well organised and the marshals were all so helpful.

  • I hoped I would finish the race on Saturday, so I could boast that I beat you!! But I cannot becasue I got a shard of tarmac in my tyre that caused me to withdraw! Having said that, it was a very special day, and all three of us enjoyed it masively. As always, the race was extremely well organised and the goodie bag was fantastic. I cannot bring myself to wear the T-shirt because I did not finish! There is one race that is better than yours, and that is Lanesboro, and I expect to beat you there next year!!

  • Just a word of thanks for organising the DCT. I have done it 5 years in a row and it just get better and better. Thanks to you and all the Prianha team!

    Cormac OConnor
  • Well done on a another great race in Dublin everything went like a song from a competitors point of view!!

    Matt - Virginia Triathlon Club
  • I have to say, you’re attention to detail with the pre-race video, the results being mailed today, the amazing goodie bag, etc. makes me really appreciate why I love triathlon. You guys hosted an amazing race. From registration right through to the marshals and your club members support on the course this was an awesome event. The fact that everyone got a goodie bag was great too – not always the case for people that register the morning of an event. Even the way people in the queue for the portaloo being given priority if their wave was about to start makes a huge difference. It’s these little things and the attention to detail that make DCT a great race. I was really impressed last year and that got me back this year. I’ll definitely be making it 3 in a row. Sincere thank you. Keep up the great work.

  • I must say it was a great race. Well organised and value for money. I will definitely be back next year. Well done to you and your team.

    Ronan Hartnett
  • Thank you for an entry to the race. It was a super event and I really enjoyed it. I know the people from our club really enjoyed it too

    Neville - Olympian Triathlon Club
  • Just want to say a big thanks for the weekend and well done on a fantastic event, everyone said it was a brilliant experience and great to see so many people competing. I would like to continue my involvement next year and if we can do anything more with the clothing/coaching side of it I am all open to suggestions. I am sure you are glad to have the event over and can relax.

    Stephen Gallagher
  • Thanks a million for sending those through, and thanks so much for all your help in the lead up to the event and on the day! We couldn’t have done it without you.

    Christine - Vodafone Ireland
  • Just a quick note to say well done, as usual a really well organized race and a credit to you an your team. Great idea to have all the marshals involved in draft busting.should be something TI puts out there as best practice for race organizers. Well deserved race of the year last year and you will be getting my vote again this year.

  • I take my hat off to you, the other organisers, the stewards and all involved as It was my first triathlon and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A great day was had that was well run and I will definitely be back next year! (and hopefully shave a few minutes off my time!)

    Ger Brennan
  • I'm a friend of Siobhain Duggan who was a strong member of my triathlon club in Geneva, Switzerland for several years before moving back to Ireland. It has now become a kind of tradition for me to visit and race the DCT. I've done a lot of triathlons since 1983 and I have to tell you that your DCT race is one of the best ever. The list of positives is long: a well-organised race, up to date information by email, a pertinent race briefing with a focus on safety, a challenging course, and capable, enthusiastic volunteers. The course is well organised and developed. The technical and potentially hair-raising bike course is kept clean and safe. (I realise there were a couple of accidents but there's no accounting for the occasional cyclist who will take an unwise risk.) Add to this a solid infrastructure for parking, transition and post race lunch, not to mention a rich goodie bag, the new and fun-for-everyone "fan zone" and you have made this race a very happy and memorable day. What's not to like?

    Charles Slovenski
  • Just want to add my voice to the chorus of approval. All my questions and quieries were answered promptly, the goodie bag was amazing, the race was fantastically run/laid out and marshalled. Top class event. A credit to all involved. Keep up the good work and we'll see you again in 2014 - I now have a target to beat!

  • take a bow!!! you and all the team at Pirahna pulled off an amazing event!!! and of course thanks also to Vodafone!! I have done DCT a number of times and every year it gets better and better!! the organisation, the goodie bag, the marshalls, the course, the competitors, the food and after race atmosphere were all top notch! and the crowd management was excellent! I wasn't waiting for anything at any stage! IT all ran so smoothly!

    Siobhain (Wicklow tri club)
  • Many thanks to you, and all your club mates, for a wonderful day out!

    Mairead Cashman
  • Thanks for that. ( After alot of listening to Leo Hughes, who Im sure you know well!! ) I signed up for DCT and I have to say outstanding from start to finish. I could not fault anything, you have set the bar very high for every other club. Already the first race on my list for next season.
